The Charleville Fishing and Restocking Club Inc is proud to host an exciting event for young anglers—the Junior Fishing Competition—offering a fun-filled day for families and children who love the great outdoors and the thrill of fishing. This engaging competition will take place in the scenic area nestled between the historic Old Bridge and the picturesque Gowrie Crossing, providing a beautiful and accessible setting for participants of all ages.

Throughout the day, there will be a variety of events and numerous opportunities to win fantastic prizes. Young competitors will have the chance to showcase their fishing skills by aiming to catch the longest specimens in several categories, including yellowbelly, catfish, cod, carp, yabby, and shrimp. In addition to the fishing challenges, creativity will also be rewarded, as there will be a special prize for the best dressed participant wearing a fishing-themed costume, encouraging fun and imaginative attire.
